Deportation of Afghan children would violate UN conventions
Denmark's participation with Sweden, the Netherlands, Finland and the UK in a European project (ERPUM) to establish a reception centre in Kabul where to return rejected unaccompanied asylum seeking children is being roundly criticised by human rights activists and researchers.
In an interview with the Danish newspaper Politiken (translated by the The Copenhagen Post), Dr Nando Sigona warns against the risk of turning young returnees into military targets for anti-Western militants.
