Today on ‘5 Live Daily’ on BBC Radio 5 Live, Professor Dawn Chatty discussed the Syria refugee crisis with Peter Allen, highlighting the scale of the crisis:

This really is the biggest humanitarian emergency of our time…  Imagine if all of Scotland and all of Ireland suddenly fled their homes and descended into England. That would give you a sense of the numbers of refugees that have descended on Turkey for example, or Lebanon.
