Teresa Rasella

Virtual Academic Visitor

Teresa Rasella is a Virtual Academic Visitor at the Refugee Studies Centre, focusing on contemporary Palestinian forced displacement and on the role of the private sector in Israel’s occupation and genocide. She holds a Joint MSc (Hons) in International Security Studies from the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (SSAS) in Pisa and the University of Trento, and a Second-Level Honours Diploma in Political Science from SSAS, where she specialised in critical approaches to international law and humanitarian studies.

She currently serves as the Special Assistant to Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, contributing to research and advocacy efforts. Previously, she worked with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on humanitarian needs assessment methodologies, and supported humanitarian and development initiatives with a range of non-governmental organisations.
