Professor Alexander Betts, Dr Naohiko Omata and Dr Olivier Sterck have been Highly Commended for Excellence in Impact in the inaugural O2RB Excellence in Impact Awards for their work on the Refugee Economies Programme.

O2RB is a collaboration between the University of Oxford, the University of Reading, The Open University, and Oxford Brookes University. It is designed to build and strengthen regional partnerships for research impact via Oxford’s Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA).

At a ceremony at St Anne’s College on the evening of 19 April, awards were presented for:

  • Excellence in Impact: Prof Abigail Adams (Economics) & Prof Jeremias Prassl (Law); Prof Lucie Cluver & Young Carers team (Social Policy & Intervention); Dr Rachel Condry (Law, Criminology); Dr Weizi Li (Henley Business School, Reading).
  • Early Career Impact Champion: Dr Shona Minson (Criminology, Law).
  • Impact Champion: Dr Rachel Condry
