European Database of Asylum Law (EDAL) conference on 'Reflections on the Current Application of the EU Asylum Acquis', taking place in Dublin, Ireland, 17–18 January 2014

The EDAL Conference 2014 aims to provide a space to critically and constructively reflect on the reality of the achievements of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS) to date and to consider the potential for greater levels of protection and harmonisation in the future.

Dr Cathryn Costello will be speaking on ‘The ECtHR and CJEU as refugee law courts: an assessment’. RSC advisor and Senior Research Fellow at All Souls College, Professor Guy S. Goodwin-Gill, will also be speaking on ‘The CEAS, the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, and what International Law requires’.
