This two day, non-residential course, presented by some of the leading experts on this issue, covers various thematic areas, including an overview of the problem of statelessness today; gender discrimination and statelessness; the politics and ethics of statelessness; the international legal framework governing statelessness; and UNHCR’s statelessness work. Case studies will be drawn from selected regions in Africa, Europe, the Middle East or Southeast Asia.

Annual Elizabeth Colson Lecture

The Annual Elizabeth Colson Lecture is held in Trinity term. It is named after Professor Elizabeth Colson, a renowned anthropologist.

Annual Harrell-Bond Lecture

The Annual Harrell-Bond Lecture is named in honour of Dr Barbara Harrell-Bond, the founding Director of the Refugee Studies Centre. It is held each year in Michaelmas term.
