An event to celebrate Refugee Week 2023!

The Refugee Studies Centre and Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH) welcome all members of the Oxford community to this meet-and-greet event at Queen Elizabeth House - including local organisations, practitioners, students and university staff.

  • Contribute to a vision for building Oxford University as a University of Sanctuary.
  • Connect with the wide range of actors involved in Oxford's Sanctuary Community.
  • Consider ways you might get involved.
  • Learn about how RLRH supports access into graduate and professional opportunities for individuals who have experienced displacement.
  • Explore research in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, undertaken by allied scholars around the world.

Annual Harrell-Bond Lecture

The Annual Harrell-Bond Lecture is named in honour of Dr Barbara Harrell-Bond, the founding Director of the Refugee Studies Centre. It is held each year in Michaelmas term.

Annual Elizabeth Colson Lecture

The Annual Elizabeth Colson Lecture is held in Trinity term. It is named after Professor Elizabeth Colson, a renowned anthropologist.
