Organised by Asylum Welcome as part of Oxford Refugee Week, several distinguished authors will gather to talk about their books, followed by an audience discussion.


Dr Elena Fiddian-Qasmiyah – lead editor of The Oxford Handbook of Refugee and Forced Migration Studies (Oxford University Press, 2014) and author of The Ideal Refugees: Gender, Islam and the Politics of Survival ( Syracuse University Press, 2014.) 

Dr Nando Sigona – co-author of Sans Papiers, The Social and Economic Lives of Young Undocumented Migrants (Pluto Press, 2014.)

Dr Alexander Betts – author of Survival Migration: Failed Governance and the Crisis of Displacement (Cornell University Press, 2013)  

Caroline Moorehead – author of Human Cargo 

Wyon Stansfeld – author of Toggle
