About the film
Two families search for their loved ones who went missing in the fields of Brooks County, Texas after crossing from Mexico and find a sobering truth: the deadliest part of the journey is far from the border.
About the speaker
Jeff Bemiss is an Oscar-shortlisted, Peabody-winning writer/director who has worked in shorts, features and documentaries. His work has aired on PBS and network television. His latest film is MISSING IN BROOKS COUNTY, a feature documentary about the missing migrant crisis in South Texas, co-directed with Lisa Molomot, and executive produced by Abigail Disney/Fork Films and Engel Entertainment. It is an ITVS Co-Production with funding provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
The seminar will be followed by drinks in the Hall.
