The Rt Hon Sir John Waite spoke about the origins and work of the Independent Asylum Commission and the implications of its wide-ranging review and recommendations. The Commission published its final report in July 2008. 

About the speaker

Sir John Waite is a former Judge of the High Court (Family Division) and of the Court of Appeal. Following seven years as chair of the children’s charity UNICEF UK, he was appointed co-chair of the Independent Asylum Commission
