In her latest article in the International Journal of Refugee Law, Professor Catherine Briddick analyses the jurisprudence on domestic violence in both international refugee law and European human rights law. She identifies and offers an original response to the shortcomings in both bodies of law. The article contributes an improved understanding of domestic violence that could be relied on to ground principled decision making on discrimination, persecution, and the Convention grounds.
