Sediqa Bakhtiari is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the University of Tehran and currently works at Refugee Education UK as a Research Assistant. Her research background has focused mainly on political systems, sociology of ethnicity, migration and refugee studies, and gender studies. Bakhtiari has worked as a researcher in different governmental and non-governmental organizations in Afghanistan. Currently, she is conducting research focused on access to education among young people with refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds in Oxford and Nottingham, UK.
