Myroslava Hartmond
Programme Coordinator, Refugee Academic Futures Scholarships
Myroslava has been at the forefront of the University of Oxford's response to the war in Ukraine since Michaelmas 2022. As Programme Coordinator of 'Refugee Academic Futures', she is the primary point of contact for sanctuary scholars, streamlining communications across the collegiate university on matters relating to academic progress, welfare, and administrative issues.
In January 2023, she was shortlisted for the Vice-Chancellor’s Professional Services Awards for her work in support of the new Graduate Scheme for Ukraine Refugees.
Myroslava holds an MPhil in International Relations (St Antony's College, University of Oxford) and a BA(Hons) in International Law and French (Kyiv Institute of International Relations, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University). She was a Research Associate at the Centre for International Studies, University of Oxford between 2014 and 2017, where she conducted practice-led research on Ukraine's soft power potential while running an art gallery in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Her research interests lie at the intersection of culture and international relations, while her creative practice includes curating, writing, and broadcasting.
