Marina Gómez Hernández

Marina Gómez Hernández is a Human Rights lawyer, academic researcher (PhD candidate), and humanitarian worker with extensive experience in project management, policy development, strategic litigation, and legal intervention for refugees and migrants, including unaccompanied refugee and migrant children. She has designed and implemented projects addressing refugee and migrant protection, human trafficking, Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and durable solutions, such as resettlement and voluntary return. Her experience spans various regions, including Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, with substantial fieldwork in border contexts (e.g., Melilla, the Ukrainian border, Morocco) and emergency settings (e.g., responses to the Ukrainian war, the Canary Islands, Bangladesh, Qatar, Jordan). She has worked with international organizations (UNHCR, IOM), the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA), and civil society organizations (ECRE, SJM, CEPAIM, ACCEM).
She holds a double BSc in Law and Economics from Carlos III University of Madrid and three MSc degrees: Advanced LLM in International Public Law with a specialization in Human Rights from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Law Practice, and Tax Advisory from Comillas Pontifical University (ICADE).
Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in International Human Rights Law (University of Murcia) and has also completed a course on International Law and Palestinian Refugees at Oxford University.
She is a dedicated team player, adaptable, and deeply committed to tackling challenges while delivering impactful solutions.
