PhD Candidate, LLM, PGDip, LLB (Hons), MCIArb, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
Allan Mukuki is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public as well. He is presently a PhD Candidate. He is the holder of an LL.M in International Law and the Law of International Organizations as well as an LL.B (Hons). He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He further holds a post-graduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law. Allan is also a scholar of the Hague Academy of International Law.
Amongst his many roles in the legal profession, Allan is currently the Director of International Partnerships; a Doctoral Fellow; member of the Management Committee and moot court coordinator, all for Strathmore Law School; he is also a Research Fellow for the African Region (Kenya), for the European Research Council Grant Project on the interpretation of customary international law; Acting Director for the Strathmore Institute of Advanced Studies in International Criminal Justice (SIASIC). Allan has also been a Legal researcher in the Office of the Solicitor General, Kenya, for the Maritime Delimitation in the Indian Ocean (Somalia v. Kenya), a case that was before the International Court of Justice.
Allan also wears the hat of an International legal consultant. He has consulted for various international organizations such as Microsoft, the Commonwealth, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), International Labor Organization (ILO), International Nuremberg Principles Academy, KPMG UK etc.
He is experienced in policy development on matters public international and national laws. He is knowledgeable, experienced and has a keen interest in Legislative Drafting, Legal Advisory services, Strategic legal consultancy services, EAC Integration Law, Refugee Law and Public International Law.
