RLO Study: Research Lead, Tanzania

Uwezo Ramazani is the Tanzania Lead Researcher for the RLO Study in East Africa. In the RLO study, Uwezo leads the overall research from the research methodology to write up of analysis. For the past seven years, Uwezo has been working with Resilience Action International (RAI), an RLO operating mainly in Kakuma Refugee Camp, most recently as Interim Executive Director where he co-authored an article titled The Potential of Self-Managed Abortion to Expand Abortion Access in Humanitarian Contexts Published in Frontiers Global Women Health Journal and  conducted a survey on “Refugee Youth Needs Mapping: Promoting Education for Productive Livelihoods among Refugee Youth in Kakuma refugees camp, Kenya”. Uwezo was awarded two DAFI scholarships and the Mwalimu Nyerere Scholarship Scheme for people with physical disabilities sponsored by the African Union. Uwezo holds an MA in Governance and Leadership from the Open University of Tanzania as well as an MA in Public Administration from Mzumbe University, Tanzania.
