RSC Director honoured in University's Recognition of Distinction exercise

We are delighted to announce that Alexander Betts, RSC Director, has been awarded the title of Professor in this year's Recognition of Distinction exercise.

Betts is now Leopold Muller Professor of Refugee and Forced Migration Studies. He was previously Leopold Muller Associate Professor of Refugee and Forced Migration Studies. 

Professor Betts’ research focuses on the international politics of asylum, migration and humanitarianism with a geographical focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. He is Director of the Humanitarian Innovation Project. He received his MPhil (in Development Studies, with Distinction) and DPhil (in International Relations) from the University of Oxford.
