Bisimwa Mulemangabo

Lead Researcher, Kampala

In his capacity of Lead Researcher for the RLRH, Bisimwa develops the team’s research agenda and works to deliver all aspects of the research process - from research design to implementation and dissemination of findings. Bisimwa has extensive experience designing and delivering studies on topics related to forced migration for a range of organisations, including the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Reach Initiatives, Response Innovation Lab, Save the Children International, Amplify Change UK, and Ugandan refugee-led organisations. He is also experienced with stakeholder consultation and has provided technical support to organisations in Uganda to strengthen accountability to affected population mechanisms and to increase uptake of research evidence.

Prior to joining RLRH, Bisimwa worked as Program Manager for U-Learn (Uganda Learning, Evidence, Accountability and Research Network). He received a BA in Microfinance and Community Economic Development and an MBA-Management, both from UMU in Uganda, as well an MSc in Environmental Management from Bangor University in the UK.
