Foni Joyce Vuni

Lead Researcher, Nairobi

Foni Joyce Vuni is a Lead Researcher at the RLRH. She is from South Sudan and lives in Nairobi, Kenya. At RLRH, Foni has contributed to the design of the study on refugee-led organizations in Kenya in partnership with Carleton University and the Dadaab Response Association. She also contributed to the development of a global survey with civil society members for the Refugee Self-Reliance Initiative (RSRI) and is leading a study on refugees’ access to work permits and business licenses in Kenya.

Foni has extensive experience with stakeholder engagement and has organized several policy discussions as part of her work with RLRH and with the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN). She also served as the UNHCR Global Youth Advisory Co-Chair for three years.
